Raghuvir Tomar is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur, India. Prior to accepting the present challenge, he spent almost twenty years in Canadian/American Wireless Industry (including eleven years at the prestigious NORTEL networks). He has a wide variety of hi-tech experience in Microwave and Radio Frequency Communications, including component-level design, sub-system integration and test, and system regulatory and compliance testing.

In 1994, Dr. Tomar received NORTEL’s ‘Outstanding Contributor’ award, for his contributions to the successful deployment of Bell Canada’s SONET Microwave Radio 4/40. In 2005, he received the ‘Cambridge Blue Book Man of the Year’ award, for significant contributions to Electrical Engineering. (This is a peer-nominated award given annually by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England to a select few outstanding researchers).

Dr. Tomar’s passion lies in aiding new business ventures to come to fruition. At Neutrino IT Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (NITTPL), he has been instrumental in defining goals and objectives of the Company, and in exploring international business opportunities.

Dr. Tomar has his Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He also spent two years in doing postdoctoral research work at the University of Ottawa (Canada). He has close to fifty peer-reviewed technical articles and technical reports to his credit. He has also co-authored a book on microstrip and printed antennas (published by Artech House, Massachusetts, U.S.A. in 1991 and still in print).

Dr. Tomar is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), U.S.A. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India.

Dr. Tomar is a citizen of Canada and currently lives in Jaipur, India.
